The Craigavon Area Compassion Project is a grassroots, not-for-profit organisation committed to relieving poverty and financial hardship within the local community.
Our Projects
Our vision is that no one would need an emergency food parcel. But until then, we will be here for our community.
Those who use the Foodbank do so as a last resort. We want to make sure that they have all of the support they need to ensure they don’t need to use it again in the future if possible
Craigavon Area Foodbank
Through the Craigavon Area Food Bank, we provide emergency food provision for families and individuals finding themselves in financial crisis, perhaps due to illness, job-loss, disability, or other circumstances beyond their control.
In 2023/24, we were able to provide 5,525 individuals in our community with emergency food.
Welcome & Wellness
Our dedicated and skilled team work with those who use our Foodbank to address the root causes of poverty.
They do this through debt advice, helping with CV writing, skills training, employability and reducing isolation.
ABC Community Food Hub
In the UK every year, over 6.4 million tonnes of edible food ends up in landfill - enough food to feed up to 21 million people a year. Yet 8.4 million still live in food poverty in the UK.
Through our food redistribution project, we are able to work with businesses in the local food industry to save 48 tonnes of food from landfill every year.
This partnership with businesses allows them to achieve their corporate social responsibility goals; and helps to feed those who most need it in our community.
How You Can Help
